Grief is a normal and expected reaction to a loss. Allowing oneself to experience and express that grief is an important part of the healing journey.
At Home Health & Hospice Care, we offer comprehensive bereavement services to help adults in any stage of life cope with loss, and the grief and sadness that often follow. Our adult bereavement programs in NH provides a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment where individuals can work through their emotions and find the support, comfort and encouragement they need during a difficult time. Our services are available to those throughout southern New Hampshire, including Manchester, Nashua and beyond. All services are free of charge.
The adult bereavement programs are 9-week sessions held three times a year – winter, spring and fall. Sessions help participants receive needed support and learn more about the grief process. These adult support groups are open to anyone grieving the death of a loved one but participants must register in advance and commit to attend all sessions. There are three different adult support groups: Parent Loss Group, Spousal Loss Group, and Elder Spousal Loss Group (for participants over 65). These adult support groups meet in Merrimack.
We also offer Journey Through Grief, a monthly support session for anyone grieving the death of a friend or loved one. At each session, different speakers share their insights about the grieving process, followed by small group discussion. The group is open to the public and no registration is required. Journey Through Grief meets the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm–8:00pm at 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
