At Home Health & Hospice Care, we understand that everyone processes grief differently. For teens, the grieving process can often be challenging and overwhelming. At HHHC in New Hampshire, we offer teen bereavement services through our Teen Topics program, helping young adults effectively manage the emotions and sadness that follow a devastating loss.
Teen Topics is a support group created by and for bereaved high school students, ages 14-18. The goal of this group is to put teens in contact with others experiencing similar loss, helping them to understand that they are not alone in their grief experience. It also provides coping tools for the journey. Teens meet once a month for the academic year. Each session encourages young adults to process and express their grief however they feel most comfortable, including participating in an activity such as collage, jewelry making, writing or yoga. Teens are welcomed to a safe place to process their loss with peers who understand what they are going through. Teen Topics meets at the Boys and Girls Club in Manchester or at a pre-arranged off site location and preregistration is required.
