HHHC Hospice Training Course
Volunteers who work directly with patients and families must complete hospice training. For accessibility, this 33-hour course is offered as both a daytime and evening series, as well as a summer intensive. All hospice training courses are held at our administrative office in Merrimack, NH.
The course is free for volunteers. For others in the community who choose to complete the training for personal or professional development, there is a fee of $150.00. An application must be submitted and an interview must be completed prior to the start of hospice training.
Hospice Training Schedule
Our Spring hospice training is a daytime series, running Wednesday afternoons from 1:30-4:30 pm for 10 weeks with an optional/recommended 11th module. We will begin February 21st, 2024 and continue weekly through April 24th, 2024, with the optional meeting in May. Note, this is a change from previously published schedule which began on February 14th.
The Summer Intensive hospice training is the same content, but delivered in a very condensed format over 8 afternoons (Mondays-Thursdays) in a 2-week period. The Summer Intensive runs from 12:30-5 pm on July 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25.
Fall hospice training is an evening series, running Thursdays from 6-9 pm for 11 weeks. We will begin September 26, 2024 and continue weekly through December 12, 2024 (taking the week of Thanksgiving off).
