HHHC Hospice Training Course

Volunteers who work directly with patients and families must complete hospice training. For accessibility, this 33-hour course is offered as both a daytime and evening series, as well as a summer intensive. All hospice training courses are held at our administrative office in Merrimack, NH.

The course is free for volunteers. For others in the community who choose to complete the training for personal or professional development, there is a fee of $150.00. An application must be submitted and an interview must be completed prior to the start of hospice training.

Hospice Training Schedule

Our 2025 Spring hospice training is a daytime series, running Wednesday afternoons from 1:30-4:30 pm for 11 weeks. We will begin February 19th and continue weekly through April 30th.

The Summer Intensive hospice training is the same content, but delivered in a very condensed format over 8 afternoons (Mondays-Thursdays) in a 2-week period. The Summer Intensive runs from 12:30-5 pm on July 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24.

The 2025 Fall hospice training is an evening series, running Thursdays from 6-9 pm for 11 weeks.  We will begin September 25, 2025 and continue weekly through December 11, 2025 (taking the week of Thanksgiving off).
