Preparing for your first Zoom virtual meeting

Please follow these instructions for preparation of your computer, laptop, phone, or tablet for your first Zoom meeting. Once you are in the meeting, we will give you a few further instructions on how to have the best Zoom meeting experience.

Computer or laptop

You need to have either a built-in or an external microphone, speaker, and camera to use your computer or laptop.

If using your laptop or computer, simply click on the Zoom meeting link sent to you and the Zoom app will automatically install and you will be joined to the meeting. After your first meeting you won’t need to install Zoom again.

iPhone or iPad

Sometime ahead of the scheduled meeting find the Zoom app in the Apple App Store and install it.

Then at the time of the meeting you can simply click on the Zoom meeting link sent to you and join the meeting.

If you forget to install Zoom before the meeting, you will be given the option to install it from the App store. When finished go back to the Zoom meeting link and click on it to join.

Samsung, Google or another Android phone or device

Sometime ahead of the scheduled meeting find the Zoom app in the Play Store and install it.

Then at the time of the meeting you can simply click on the Zoom meeting link sent to you and join the meeting.

If you forget to install Zoom before the meeting, you will be given the option to install it from the Play Store. When finished go back to the Zoom meeting link and click on it to join.
